The Book of Mormon celebrates its 5000th performance on Broadway tonight, a rare feat only a handful of Broadway shows have accomplished. To celebrate the milestone performance, the cast of the hit musical have tried to guess the other 11 musicals that have reached 5000 performances. See how many they got correct in a new video!

On a recent appearance on Jesse Tyler Ferguson's Dinner on Me podcast, Josh Gad revealed that The Book of Mormon was initially planned as an animated film.

Performing Arts Fort Worth, Broadway Dallas and Broadway Across America has announced that THE BOOK OF MORMON is returning to North Texas and tickets are on sale now.

Earlier this week, BroadwayWorld reported that James Marsden has set his sites on Broadway. In reponse to the news, Josh Gad took to Twitter to share some Broadway trivia, revealing that Marsden was originally offered the role of 'Elder Price' in The Book of Mormon! 

It might be impossible not to have heard about the musical, The Book of Mormon. Unless you've been locked away from the world for the last couple of years. Oh. Well, pandemic aside, this show needs almost no introduction. 

Last week, The Book of Mormon's 4,093rd performance surpassed the run of the original production of Miss Saigon. With this milestone, the musical becomes the 13th longest running Broadway show. In celebration, the company posted a video to its social media accounts, featuring members of the cast lipsyncing to 'I'd Give My Life For You' from Miss Saigon.

A new non-equity national tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, the winner of nine Tony Awards® including Best Musical, will launch this September and visit over 50 cities across the U.S., including 29 where the show has never played before.

The Book of Mormon creators will convene with actors to discuss potentially problematic instances in the script. This comes after twenty Black cast members from the original and current Broadway cast wrote a private letter to Matt Stone, Trey Parker, and Robert Lopez, expressing concerns.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards® including Best Musical, is pleased to announce a lottery ticket policy for the National Tour, which begins November 5 at the Orpheum Theatre in Memphis and plays a limited one-week engagement through Sunday, November 10. In Memphis, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making a limited number of tickets available at $25 apiece.

The Book of Mormon has officially surpassed the run of 42nd Street as Broadway's 14th running show, following today's 3,487th performance.
